Welcome All!
I’m Timothy Huggins, Owner/Craftsman of Huggins Heritage Glass. I hope you enjoy my passion for stained glass art, and feel free to reach out to me in the email form below. Thanks!

As a second-generation stained glass artist, I learned this craft from my father, David, and I'm dedicated to preserving this family tradition. Every piece I create is a unique, one-of-a-kind original, though I also enjoy fashioning stained glass versions of iconic pop culture designs. My work is deeply inspired by the geology and rich history of the Adirondacks and the Capital Region, blending my background in earth sciences with a passion for local artistry to create pieces that honor the region's enduring natural beauty, cultural traditions, and its pivotal role as the turning point of the American Revolution.

Huggins Clan CrestThe Huggins clan crest embodies a rich heritage, celebrating the rugged spirit of the Adirondacks and a foundational love for geology. It honors the deep devotion to Catholicism and a commitment to freedom, sharing this unique legacy with the public through enduring works of stained glass.

Portfolio

“The Egg”

Located in Albany New York, construction of The Egg began in 1966 and was completed in 1978. It is a performing arts center known for its distinctive futuristic architecture.

“Off to Terrapin Station”

The spark for this design arrived when Terrapin Station by the Grateful Dead came on my mix, allowing me to visualize the music and translate it into stained glass.

“Summit Solstice”

Summit Solstice captures the vibrant energy of a new day with a brilliant sun rising over the rugged peaks of the “Queen of American Lakes”.

“Heavenly Dawn Crosses”

In Catholicism, the cross represents Christ's sacrifice and the promise of resurrection. The vibrant, textured amber-yellow light can symbolize the divine light of Christ, while the blues evoke the heavens and the grace brought through the sacraments.

“Limoncello”

A handcrafted piece of the Amalfi Coast in Italy, capturing the bright, sunny essence of the region where limoncello is famously crafted.

“United States Navy Anchor and Chain”

This piece is dedicated to the unwavering bravery of our military service members. It features a naval anchor and chain to honor the service of my grandfather who served in Okinawa, Japan in World War 2 as well as my uncle who served in the Mediterranean. Go Navy!

“United States Army Star/ Transcending Pyramid/ Rays”

The United States Army has a rich history in Upstate New York. West Point Military Academy has produced some of the finest officers in the world, and continues that tradition to this day. Go Army!
The transcending pyramid represents the ancient Egyptian Gods that can travel through the Underworld, Mortal World, and Afterlife.
A collection of small pieces, tying the abstraction of light we see through a prism.

“Legend of Zelda Tri-Force”

The Legend of Zelda franchise is one of the most popular catalog of games ever produced. To achieve success you must track down and collect the three crystals to unify the tri-force, all while exploring and encountering unique challenges and enemies trying to stop you.

“Huggins Sprout”

An idea I had for a small plant vase for around the house, garden, memorial site etc. Endless varieties of colors and winter proof with a built in drainage hole to prevent frost cracks.

“Rainbow Apple”

The rainbow Apple logo stands as a symbol of the proud technology legacy in my family, honoring the Apple I and II computers my father acquired since the company was founded in 1976, and carrying that spirit of innovation into the future.

“Inspiring Crest”

Imagine the awesome power and sheer beauty of a wave cresting, captured in serene seafoam green glass to evoke the majestic spirit of the Pacific Ocean.

“Prismatic Vortex”

A mesmerizing swirl of geometric shapes where brilliant yellows, deep blues, and vibrant reds spiral outward from a central point. The interplay of diverse glass textures catches the light and creates a sense of dynamic movement within a static frame.

“Cross of Heavenly Light”

This piece is called "Cross of Heavenly Light." The clear glass speaks to Jesus’ purity and grace, the red represents the sacrifice of Christ, and those warm amber accents bring in a sense of divine light.

Thanks for Visiting!
